When I moved to a new city a few months ago, I vowed to one of my friends back home in Michigan that I would keep in touch. As much as we enjoy catching up over the phone, there’s something extra special about receiving a letter in the mail. For one thing, a writing a letter takes time and commitment. It shows that you’ve made your personal communications a real priority; it’s not just a matter of convenience.
Little did I know that every small, boutique stationery store in the area carried frilly, floral-themed stationery and little else. It looked like a case of over-specialization. In their effort to cater to the letter-writing public, these stores had forgotten about the entire male demographic. I had no such problem when I investigated online for wholesale stationery. I had my choice of designs, materials and styles, and before long I had returned to regular correspondence.
